Things to be aware of!

Realms is under active development!

We are currently in beta, which means we are constantly testing and adding new features. Documentation may not be up to date with actual features and capabilities, and some things may not work as expected. Please bear with us while we improve the product and give us feedback on our discord!

Privacy

We use Discord channel names and usernames to help identify people when sending notifications, and our bot responds to commands directed to it. The Realms Bot does not look at or store any other data generated by the users in your Guild.

Realm Limitations

Realms is designed to scale with any number of users, so we don't limit how many citizens you can have in a single realm. There are also no limits on how many coins you can mint, but each realm is issued only a single currency, and if you need more currencies, you must create a new realm!

Coin Limitations

Coins are designed to be indivisible, which means you cannot own or give away a partial coin. This may lead to strange effects as automated distributions work by looking at proportional shares of coins between the entire population, leading to imperfect distribution amounts from fractional loss. This is usually fine unless the amounts you want to distribute are really small compared to the total coins in circulation. In this case cancel the distribution and issue a new one with more coins.

Discord Limitations

Realms ultimately needs to use the Discord API, and this means we are subject to rate limits, and user interface constraints. We may need to throttle or adjust some of the experience based on load, such as notifications or rate of command usage in order to continue to operate with Discord.
